Licensed by the Texas Optometry Board and holding additional credentials in North and South Carolina, Dr. Donaldson’s journey to prominence is marked by a fusion of academic brilliance, practical experience, and a deep-rooted passion for advancing eye care.

Born with a natural curiosity and a drive for academic success, Dr. Donaldson embarked on his educational journey with determination. Graduating Cum Laude from the esteemed University of Houston – College of Optometry, he distinguished himself early on as a scholar destined for greatness. Prior to his optometric studies, he earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the prestigious Business and Management College of the University of Maryland, laying the foundation for his future endeavors in the healthcare industry.

Dr. Donaldson’s academic achievements were complemented by invaluable hands-on experience gained through externships at renowned institutions such as the MacGregor Eye Institute and the Eye Center of Texas, both situated in Houston. However, it was during his transformative tenure as the contact lens specialist for the largest LASIK clinic in the Southeast that Dr. Donaldson’s expertise truly flourished. For three years, he dedicated himself to the intricacies of contact lens fittings, post-surgical care, and the treatment of various ocular diseases, honing his skills and deepening his understanding of patient needs. In the past decade, Dr. Donaldson has emerged as a trailblazer in the realm of specialty contact lenses, particularly renowned for his expertise in fitting RGP, Combination, and Scleral lenses. His ability to navigate complex cases, including post-surgical corneas and conditions like Keratoconus, has earned him the admiration of colleagues and patients alike.

Dr. Donaldson’s commitment to pushing the boundaries of eye care extends beyond his specialized expertise, with his professional interests spanning sports vision, computer vision, and low vision care. Dr. Donaldson’s dedication to advancing his field is evident through his active memberships in prominent organizations such as the Texas Optometric Association, North Carolina Optometric Association, American Optometric Association, and the Katy Chamber of Commerce. He remains steadfast in his pursuit of knowledge and innovation, continually seeking out opportunities to enhance patient outcomes and drive positive change within the industry. In addition to his professional accomplishments, Dr. Donaldson speaks Spanish, further enhancing his ability to connect with and serve a diverse patient population.

Beyond his professional achievements, Dr. Donaldson finds fulfillment in his role as a devoted husband to his wife, Fatima, and a loving father and grandfather to their three children and two grandchildren. He cherishes moments spent with his family and takes great joy in sharing his passion for sports, both as a player and coach. An avid surfer, Dr. Donaldson finds solace and rejuvenation in the exhilarating embrace of the ocean waves, a reflection of his adventurous spirit and zest for life. Dr. Bethany Fabrygel is a therapeutic optometrist and optometric glaucoma specialist. A Texas native, she received her Bachelor of Science in biomedical science from Texas A&M University. She spent the next four years earning her Doctorate of Optometry from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry at Salus University.

During the course of her optometric studies, Dr. Fabrygel completed clinical rotations at the Veteran’s Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland where she received supplemental training in the diagnosis and treatment of glaucoma, macular degeneration, and systemic diseases pertaining to the eyes such as diabetic retinopathy. Dr. Fabrygel also completed externships at private practice optometric clinics with a focus on contact lens fittings and dry eye disease.

Dr. Fabrygel’s professional passion centers around primary care. She is committed to providing compassionate and thorough care to her patients with an emphasis on patient education. Her goal is to help patients understand the importance of routine eye care as well as the link between systemic disease and eye health. In her free time, Dr. Fabrygel enjoys reading, hiking, and spending time at her home in Houston with her husband, Vivek and their Saint Bernard and two cats.
